Ask about your renovation

12 answers

Getting startedWhere do I start?

Start with your suburb and a short description of what you want to change. List three things that do not work in the current room, the items you want to retain and your preferred timing. You do not need a finished design.

Getting startedCan I enquire if I am still exploring?

Yes. Tell us what is working in your home, what is not, and what you would like to feel different. Prioritise layout and everyday tasks before choosing colours or individual fittings.

Getting startedDo you work in my Sydney suburb?

Include your suburb in the enquiry form. We will review your location and project scope, then confirm whether the project is a good fit before arranging a visit.

Getting startedWhat should I include in my enquiry?

Your name, a phone number, your suburb and a few sentences about the renovation. You can also mention the property type, the rooms involved, your preferred timing and any priorities you already have.

Planning your spaceDo I need to have chosen all my materials?

No. Finalise the working layout and the main appliances or fixtures first. Compare tile, grout, paint and joinery samples together in the room’s own light, and ask about cleaning and maintenance before confirming a finish.

Planning your spaceCan I start with just one room?

You can enquire about a bathroom, kitchen or laundry as an individual project. If you are also considering changes elsewhere, mention them so the relationship between the rooms can be discussed.

Planning your spaceWhat if my home is an apartment?

Tell us the property type and any access arrangements you know about. Check your scheme’s by-laws and the approval requirements with your strata manager before committing to work. Kitchen and bathroom renovations can require permission; access, lift bookings and work hours also need planning.

Planning your spaceWhat should I check before changing a layout?

Mark door swings, appliance openings and the route through the room on your plan. Changes to walls, plumbing or electrical services need site assessment before the layout and scope are confirmed.

Scope & next stepsCan you give a price before seeing the space?

A useful quote needs a clear scope. The size of the space, existing conditions, finishes and what is being changed all affect the work. Compare quotes against the same written inclusions, product selections, exclusions and assumptions. A lower total may reflect a different scope.

Scope & next stepsHow long will a renovation take?

Timing depends on the agreed scope, site conditions, materials and coordination of the work. Discuss any important dates early; a project schedule should be considered alongside the scope rather than assumed from a general estimate.

Scope & next stepsDoes submitting the form book a site visit?

No. The form sends an enquiry for the team to review. A consultation or site visit is arranged separately with you after the initial discussion.

Scope & next stepsWhat happens after I send an enquiry?

Your enquiry is saved for the Das Reno team to review. The team can then use the contact details you provided to discuss your home, the project scope and a suitable next step. Submitting the form does not commit you to any work.
